If you told me 5 years ago that I would be making an NCSA account in hopes of being recruited for running I would have said your crazy, yet here I am. I tried out for cross country freshman year because my friends were doing it. I ended up getting pulled up to varsity in the middle of the season but never got to race because I hurt my knee on october 6th and decided to stop running and heal up for soccer season. When track season came around I ran varsity and qualified for the april regionals in the 3200m but got the same knee pain in the race and stopped running for 5 months. When 2018 cross country season came back I could only run the first 2 meets. After that I took an entire year off and went to multiple doctors, finally getting diagnosed with iliotibial band syndrome. I went to physical therapy to get back to 100% and started to run again on august 2019. Today I am training for track season and feeling very blessed.
