I've loved running since I was 5 years old and did my first road race. Over the years since then I've grown to enjoy both track and cross country on the teams I have been a part of. Through Middle and High School I have worked hard to improve my times and have always pushed to be the best I can be. My favorite memories from that time would have to be all the training runs that I enjoyed with friends all trying to improve ourselves. My freshman and Sophomore years I had to overcome nagging injuries due to growing quickly but I learned to stretch more and since then I have had much fewer injuries. Last year during track I went to State for 1600, 800, 4x800, and 4x400, to try to help our team get as many points as possible. This year during track I hope to be able to have another breakthrough year like Junior year and help contribute to my teams chances of placing at state. I think that with the opportunities and coaching provided at the next level I will continue to improve and enjoy the sport even more.
