When I'm playing a sport, everything just goes out the window. The stress and worries about what's going on in school just leave, and I focus on the future and trying to reach my goals. I am trying to find a school that matches my perfectionism and need for improvement. The sense of just being who you are and putting all you got on the track and doing as much or better than you ever thought was possible.
I started my sophomore year with my jumps getting stronger and longer. Unfortunately, after the first 3 meets into the season , a recurring injury started that would not subside. I had to learn that having this injury wouldn't mean the season was done, but instead it showed me even when injured I can still power through. I can still get PR’s and better myself more than I ever thought possible. I have chosen to rest and heal for the summer, meeting with a coach and doing an occasional meet rather than club track so I can come back strong.
