My name is Janei Sewell. I've been running track and field for four years. I have a great love and passion for it. Track was introduced to me when I was in 7th grade . Many people since I was younger told me to run for an aau team because of my speed on the football field . But I always wanted to just play football only . So in 7th grade , I finally tried out and made the team. My freshman year in high school, I ran with the varsity team. I was on the B team for the 4 x 100 relay then eventually I made it to our Regional finals . After that season I considered Track and field as something I would want to continue doing through out my life . I've made great grades throughout my academic career , never making anything below a B. Like all athletes I struggle. Currently my 10th grade year I struggled with math but I worked my tail off to pass. My character is unique. I'm quite at first and don't say much. But I am a funny guy with a great since of humor . I love putting in extra work after a practice . Going the extra mile is my thing, especially after 400s. I have HUGE goals for myself when I go to college , and they are :
I've never really believed in myself in anything in the past . But I have extreme confidence in this sport . I'm a good competitor, hard worker , and an astounding student . I can never see myself as the same as anyone else . I'm in a different fish tank than everybody else . All in all, I love track and field , and I'll do anything to be the best in the country as an athlete, student or person , to get a track and field scholarship .
