Goals/Aspirations: My goals in college are to pursue a degree in physical exercise and/or government and to become the best runner I can. I aspire to be in top form as one of my team's best runners and to excel academically.
Good Candidate: I work hard to be a team player and am very proud of and loyal to my team. I am coachable, taking the advice from my trainers and distance coaches and applying that to my runs and races so that I will improve. I am always seeking ways to improve and strengthen myself athletically.
Different: Being homeschooled gives me an advantage. I am able to manage my schedule so that I can focus on my diet, my running, and my academic schedule. As a competitive piano player with more than 13 years of study so far, I have shown long-term dedication to sharpening my skills in the demanding field of music. As piano doesn't have an "off-season", neither does running, which is my passion. I have a trainer with whom I work when my high school team is not practicing. I work hard at setting and achieving high goals for myself so that I can be the best runner!
