When I first come to the United States I never thought I would love running so much. When I was in Ethiopia my family used to make me run to the store, run to the nieghbors house or to my ants house who live miles away. I hated running, I thought who would want to run just to make themself tiried. But after I arrived to America and I did not have to do any of the things I had to do back home, I realized that I actually loved running because I missed running around and having fun. My first year of high school even befor school started I started to train to join Rickover Naval Academy's cross country team so that I would be every competive with the kids that were already in. When school open I learned that I was the fastest athlete on the team at first it gave me since of acomplishment because I trained hard. Since I went to Rickover I have been the fastest runner in the school. That is why I want to continue running in college. I am sure in college I will be running at a faster time then I am running now because the competition wiill motivate me to push harder. I also know that college coaches will train me very well. In college I want to make the team that i am on proud. I want to win and I am ready to give 110% attention to running and my education. I know running alone does not get me any where, as I am already to run in college I am also ready to work hard in the classrooms to open up a better apportunity for myself.
