2021 Highlights Personal Statement
In grade school I had a hard time finding a sport that I enjoyed however in sixth grade I finally joined the cross team and began my running journey. It started out rough, but after running as many days as I could over the past few years I went from the back of the pack to running in state my junior year. I ran a marathon the summer before my junior year to test my endurance and mental fortitude. I have a goal to qualify for the Boston Marathon one day. I enjoy running whether it be on the track or on a trail and hope to keep racing in the foreseeable future.
