I am currently a high school junior, graduating in 2026, and looking to run cross country and track at the collegiate level. I started running 5Ks with my dad when I was 5 years old, and since then have grown into a state-qualifying high school cross country and track runner. I am determined to become the absolute best version of myself every single day, and specifically when running. This is why I want to run at a collegiate level, to focus on running and contribute to a team and help my teammates. The thing that makes me different from other runners is that I can be a utility player. I can run long distances like in cross country or I can run sprints and mid-distance races like the 400 and 800M. I am a very hard worker and am extremely committed to the sport of running. I am also very disciplined and take great care of myself and my body, including getting good sleep, eating well, and stretching/core work every day. I am a leader to all of my teammates. I encourage them and keep them on task with our training, while also contributing positively to the team environment. Not only am I a varsity athlete, I am also an excellent student with a 4.4 (on a 4.0 scale) GPA and take several honors and AP classes. My parents taught me the importance of being well-rounded, so I am also active in other extracurricular activities such as student council, German club, varsity athlete leadership team, speech team, and swim guard. My hope after college is to become a special education teacher while also using the skills I learned by competing at a collegiate level to coach cross country and track.
