*2nd in state for 60m hurdles (indoor)
*10th in state for 200 m (indoor)
My name is Aidan Killmer I am a student-athlete that attends Lake Park High School in the suburbs of Chicago. I am very dedicated to Track & Field; I have been doing track since I was eight years old. To me, hurdling is like walking and comes naturally. I have received the Leadership Award and also the Most Grit Award twice in my high school career. The first time, because I ran with a sprained ankle in the 4 x 400m relay and was able to help my team win the conference. The second time was because, during the sectional meet when I hit a hurdle and fell, yet I was still able to qualify for state. In the words of my coach, “That Aidan can be placed anywhere in a race that I need him, and if I could, I would be running him in 5 races!" By the end of my senior year, I will have taken six AP classes and seven honors classes while also being a two-sport athlete in track and soccer, both on a varsity level. In the future, I plan to contribute to the team and put up points to help win. I can't imagine not being a track and field athlete after high school, and I am excited for the competition and fun at the college level.
