The first time I truly knew that I wanted to be a runner was when I was watching the 2012 summer olympics. My whole family was watching and we were all so impressed by how fast everyone was and that's when I knew I wanted to be there someday. Throughout my 5 years of running track I have learned a lot about myself. I realized I am a good leader, teammate, and I am very committed to running. These realizations have pushed me to my goal of running at the collegiate level.
I have had to overcome several obstacles through the process. I have overcome injury with a ruptured MCL and I have overcome loss with my father passing away. I have not let these things drag me down. I have became a better person and athlete because of them. I have maintained over a 3.0 GPA and I made varsity my sophomore year. I am looking for a team that will be a fit for me academically and athletically. Not only do I believe I have the talent to compete collegiately, but the work ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact!
