My collegiate goals and aspirations are to be the best athlete on and off the track, whether that is helping out the community, maintaining good grades in the classroom, or working hard to the best of my ability in track and cross country. I want to become the best possible runner that God wants me to be. What makes me a good candidate for a team is that I am willing to work hard while staying focused and determined. I am highly optimistic, faithful and determined. I believe that anything is possible with hard work and consistency, and that failure and quitting is never an option. What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics is that I have suffered a severe traumatic brain injury from when I fell out of a two-story building, headfirst onto the driveway early on in my life when I was three years old. I believe what has happened early on in my life is a sign from God that something is in store for me since I am still alive, and it is a true blessing for me to be functioning perfectly fine today. My work ethic is what separates me from others the most - I always complete tasks and am resilient, I always do what's right, whether people are looking or not.
