Mason Basson '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been in competitive sports my whole life.  What makes me different is that I am not afraid to take risks.  I was a dedicated soccer player on a path to a professional career in Europe, with a sponsored FIFA trip to Italy to train with their top youth team. I did not want to wake up one day and look back with regret that I had dedicated my youth to one passion. I realized my passion to compete outweighed my passion for soccer, and risked it all to pursue that passion. Track allows me to compete all in, no one to blame but me, no one to count on but me, while still having the comradery of my team mates. My goal is to continue to train and compete at an elite level with an elite school. I want to dominate the business world, competing there in some aspect of marketing or real estate.  I am driven, dedicated, loyal, and a fierce competitor, all of which make me an asset to any team.
