I became the 2A Iowa High School Cross Country State Champion on November 2nd, 2019. My #1 goal is to be able to compete at the collegiate level in cross country and track, I am an extremely hard worker and will do anything that I am asked of. I am a 3 sport athlete and keep up with my school work just as much as my athletics. I was given the #1 spot since freshman and am hoping to continue and follow my dreams into college. I am a good candidate for any collegiate program because of what I bring during practice, meets, and in classes, you can count on me to do the work that you would ask of me and I strive out to accomplish goals from coaches and myself and always trying to get better and faster. My first year of high school track went great, I qualified for state, anchoring the distance medley running a 2:03 800 split. My sophomore cross country season I ran a 16:37 and got 7th at state, I led my team to being the first ever state qualifying cross country team in school history. 2018 All State and QC Times All Area First Team. Sophomore track was a bumpy season dealing with knee tendinitis I came back strong towards the end of the season qualifying for state in the open 800 and distance medley, I anchored the distance to an 8th place finish. And then ended my season breaking 2 minutes in the 800 for the first time running 1:59.46 getting 11th place.
