My name is Jackson Baedke and I’m a senior at Prairie High School this year. I’m extremely interested to run after high school and it would be an honor if I could run at another level. I was awarded first team conference for the 800 medley, second team for the 4x400, and honorable mention for the 4x100 and finally, all-conference academic. I ran at both Drake relays and the Iowa state meet. I was awarded with the leadership award last season for being a good teammate, student-coach/leader to the student athletes in need of extra attention. I am a 100, 200, and 400 runner.
PR’s from last season (2022):
100 - 11.44 (open) 10.7 (split)
200 - 23.1 (open at the beginning of the season) 21.9 (split)
400 - 53 (open at ISU indoor meet and first race of the 2022 season) 50.9 out of blocks in the 4x400)
———————————————————
Goals for this upcoming season (2023):
100 - break an 11 open time
200 - run a lower 22 and higher 21 time in an open race
400 - break 50 seconds
I’m currently working hard at these goals with Pat Parysz. He has trained 24 Jr. National champions and plenty of DI athletes. I plan on being his next best athlete and to make him and my family proud.
I didn’t run in any open events other than the beginning of the 2022 season during indoor and the first few outdoor meets. I’m planning to run as many open events as I can throughout the 2023 track season.
