My name is Joah and I am 17 years old. I currently am attending Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and i am in the 12th grade. I am on the Prairie Hawk Varsity track team. I am dedicated to my team mates and coaches to give my full effort. I enjoy being a team player and enjoy seeing my team do great as a whole. I have just recently joined the Cedar Rapids Track Team and I am very excited to have the opportunity to meet new challenges. I also enjoy playing football. Its always been a toss up which sport i prefer. I have recently leaned more towards track. I am a above average student and I believe my teachers would say i am a positive addition to the classroom. In my home time i enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as staying active. I know I am a freshman and have so much to learn, I feel like i am easy to teach and am open to learning what will make me excel as an athlete. I am in my senior and I am currently playing varsity football. I have huge goals for myself that I am excited about achieving. I am driven by success and I intend to accomplish the goals that I have set for myself. Football just ended for the year and now it is time to concentrate on track and be the best I can for when spring gets here. I have joined a track club call Iowa Speed and my goal is to go to Jr Olympics. Just want to update December 2015....Starting to prepare for 2016 track season. I have set some high achievements for myself this year. I would like to take state for the 100 hurdles. I know i have the drive and mindset to do so, I just respect my competition. I have new goals on my mind this year, I want to run the 200 and I would like to dip into the long jump. I believe with hard work and my dedication my goals will be achieved. UPDATE/4/26/2016....Drake Relays is coming up this weekend and I go in holding the best time for 110 hurdles for the state of Iowa. That is pretty exciting. I will be competing in the 110 hurdles, 4x100, shuttle hurdles, as well as the 4x200. This weekend will be amazing, our High School is favored to win State this year. That would be a great accomplishment. I did what I set out to do this year and that is to become the Boys State 110 high hurdles Champion. I as well broke the state record and look forward to breaking it next year.
