I was really devastated when I found out that my 2020 season was canceled, as I was so excited to see the pay off from the years worth of work that happened before. As a hurdler I’ve learned to think fast and adapt quickly, and this was no different when the pandemic hit. As it hit I was upset to not have the opportunity to get better, and be a leader for the new guys. This didn’t put a halt to my training as I continued on, and continued to run. As one of four boys I have learned to be tough and this is no different when it comes to the track. With almost all AP and Honors classes, dedication became key to my work ethic. Quick thinking has become easy as I am apart of the schools lighting crew in the theatre department, and we never know what might go wrong so I always have to be quick on my feet and willing to adapt. It also has given me great leadership opportunities, more people to call family, and a better well rounded personality.
