I believe that I would be a good candidate and asset to any team. Whether on the course, at practice, or on the oval I feel like I am a leader to my peers, someone they almost look up to, and I take a lot of pride in that. And, because I am going to be a junior this year (2021/2022) I feel like my leadership skills can only get better after our team captain for Cross Country and Track has left for college. I feel like I also possess a lot of talent in my running that I really didn't know I had until I was almost 15, and so I have set some goals for myself in high school and college. The high school goals are quite simple, to be a state champion, and to take down the 1600 record at my school which is 4:10. It is a ways off of my current times, but I do believe that I have just figured out how to properly train and make it so I have not only a fighting chance against the athletes in Kansas, but also in the rest of the nation. My collegiate goals are going to be much harder just simply because of how many people go to each school to do the thing I want to do and I know there is always someone who will be better. Thank you to whomever the took time to read this, I can say that having me on any program will benefit the team no matter the circumstance or position I am put into.
