Running has always held a special place in my life. From the moment I laced up my first pair of running shoes and raced my first middle school race, I knew I had discovered something truly transformative. Over the years, running has become much more than a mere physical activity to me; it has become a profound journey of self-discovery, resilience, and person with. Ever since I started competing in Cross-Country and Track, it prompted me to compete at the collegiate level.
Running has also served as a powerful catalyst for self-reflection. After I got injured my freshman year, I started focusing on my running aspirations, I recovered into my Freshman Track season and that is where I transformed into the runner I am now.
Running has not only sculpted my physical endurance but has also nurtured my mental resilience in and out of the classroom. I have learned to summon the strength to keep going. The lessons learned on the road—perseverance, patience, and adaptability—have proven indispensable in facing the challenges of life. Running has instilled in me an unwavering belief in my own capabilities, teaching me that I am stronger than I ever imagined. I pursue many leadership programs at my school, sculpting leadership, resilience, and physical fitness at school. I have a 3.86 GPA and withhold many academic honors. Last, I am currently a member of the National Honors Society.
As my last Track and XC season underway, I am seeking to run 15:30 5k, 9:10 3200m, 4:15 1600, and a 1:57 800m. As I strive to my goals, I feel like I am a good candidate in any college seeing potential in me. I hold many leadership positions, academic roles, and athletic skills that are suited at the college level. I am excited to see what my athletic and academic talents can place me at the college level.
