Jaren Aurand '23 Recruiting Profile

I come from a small very supportive and family-based community in North Central Kansas. My goals right now are to improve little by little every week to achieve my goal of hitting over 150' feet in the discus and claiming my school record. My second goal is to throw over 160' in the javelin, by achieving these two goals I can achieve my goal of scoring enough points to help my team win a state championship. Something that makes me stand out from other recruits is my multi-talent ability. Along with being a throwing my background allows me to be able to convert into a decathlete with the many different events I have done in my career. Along with discus, shot put, and javelin, I have competed in the triple jump, 400m, high jump, 1600m, 800m, and also run cross country in the fall. I also have the potential to influence other class of 23" recruits because of my involvement and leadership roles in my region in Kansas.
