I believe God gives everyone certain talents and abilities. For me, it has always been speed. Ever since I can remember, I have always been the fastest...the fastest in my class, in my school, at camp or wherever I go. Thankfully, my high school coach recognized this talent very early on when I was in 3rd grade. By the time I was in 5th grade, I was participating in middle school and high school meets as a team member.
My middle school years were very successful, winning numerous events throughout and culminating in breaking nearly every school and conference record in all my events for the middle school level. I was also competing at the varsity level during this time period for my high school. As a freshman, I was able to compete for the varsity as the lead leg on both the 4x100 and 4x200, placing 7th and 6th in 2A at the state meet respectively while winning at numerous meets and being Region champs.
Since beginning my track career, I have worked very hard with my coach on improving not only my speed, but also my starts and running form. In addition to also playing football, I train year-round in strength and speed improvement and have committed to a challenging academic schedule that includes advanced and AP level courses. After graduation, I hope to take my talents to the collegiate level to an institution and coach that will challenge me to develop my abilities both on and off the track
