marcellus pettus '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello to all the coaches viewing my personal statement. My dream is to compete in track and field at the next level. My number 1 priority is my school work, the reason why I take my academics so seriously is because first you need to have the grades to play  at the high school level and the college level. Colleges look at your grades and SAT scores and ACT scores Along with  your highlights to determine if you are a great prospect to come to there program and to excel to the next level like never before. I take school seriously because nobody can take your mind away from you and it is important to stay focus.I am a hard working young man and put my best effort forward in  everything  I do. Coaches will see I separate my self from other prospect because I am a hard worker on and off the track.  In the off season I train with my trainer kyle and we work on  strengthen my hips and core. I understand that there are other athletes working hard as well and that motivates me to be the best at my craft and that's my biggest attribute my effort. My goal is to not only to excel but to be one of  the best. I believe that I cant reach maximum potential i  can always get better that why I am so successful on the track. I plan on using using  Track/field as a tool to get me into college that why I put my all in to it. This is a business I understand everybody is playing this to get into college and most of them to the biggs. I respect my teammates and encourage them on and off the track. My goal with my teammates are to work hard together and win together. I am a coachable person and listen well and will apply it while on track. I am a good candidate for your program because starting from day one I would strive to be the best and show my talents on the track and also in the classroom. Thank you for your time
