Hello!
My name is Lidya Belanger! I am a junior at Amesbury High School in Massachusetts! Ever since I started running track my freshman year indoor season I instantly fell in love with the sport. I was devastated when I found out my outdoor season was canceled due to Covid. When I started my indoor season my Sophomore year that was when I realized I wanted to compete in college. I started to work really hard and for my first ever outdoor season I became 8th in the state for pole vault. I had a really successful season that year. My junior year indoor season I became 3rd In the CAL for 55 hurdles. I have had some setbacks with my junior year outdoor season, but I tried my hardest to catch back up in pole vault and hurdles. I am really interested in either pole vaulting or hurdling in college. Those are my two biggest events. I am able to compete in many other events as well, but I am best at pole vault and hurdles. I am very determined to get to my goal of competing in college and am attending many camps over the summer to continue improving for my senior year. I am wondering what height and time I would need to possibly be considered to have a chance of being on the team. I am very dedicated to track and will work as hard as I can to achieve my goals. If you are interested in my hurdle times and pole vault heights please let me know and I can send them! I am hoping to hear back from you soon!
