In seventh grade, my parents persuaded me to join my school's cross country team due to my interest in running and participation in local road races. I immediately took a liking to my team and the sport, and have been running track and cross country every since. So far, my highlight of my year would be becoming the Division V State Champion in the 1000m. For the end of my senior year I hope to qualify for nationals in the 800m because I was 1.2 seconds off from emerging elites in the 1000m for indoor track.
Once I graduate high school, I'd like to go somewhere with a good computer science and electrical engineering program. I love trying new routes/trails/workouts and like to consider myself strong on hills in cross country races and last-lap kicks in track. I always try to stay positive during competitions, stay close to my teammates, and constantly push myself for better times in all my events!
