Evan Dunigan '20 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy running more than most people. Not only do I enjoy it, and love racing, and the work and dedication it takes, but I am a student of the sport. I'm referred to as the "track nerd". It's almost a joke with my team how much I know other people and study the competition and what their times are and PR's and everything. Between that and the science behind running, knowing the workouts we run and learning my body and what it can handle, I have become a well rounded runner. The thing is, is that I know I still have so much to learn, and this is just the beginning. Through my passion I have dedicated the past 3 years of my life to become the fastest runner I can be. And I'm not even close to done. My work ethic is tremendous, and any goal I set I go out to get, whether it's a time or place, at the beginning of a season I set a goal and go out and get it. Freshmen year, I ran the mile in 5:17, 2 mile in 10:52, and 5k in 18:19. Since then I have lowered those to 4:31.92, 10:09.99, and 16:53.76. I have consistently gotten better every season, and in track this past season I went as far as to get better in every meet. I will continue to do so at the collegiate level, wherever I decide to go. If I can make you one promise, it is that I will be the hardest worker, and most dedicated runner you have, and put everything I have into your program and your team, as I have done the past 3 years of high school.
