Hi, my name is David DiPietro.
I began my running career during the winter season of my freshman year and ever since, it has been a major goal of mine to run in college. I originally planned to only run winter track as a bridge season between football and baseball. Not only did I enjoy the training and preparation process, but I thrived from the personal challenges and competitiveness of the sport as well. This prompted me to focus on track and drop all of my other sports.
In addition to my work ethic, I find that the biggest thing that separates me from other runners is my level of dedication and commitment, not only to my personal success but also to the success of my teammates. You will find that this work ethic extends into the classroom as evidenced by my strong GPA that I have been able to maintain throughout my high school career.
I will continue to fine-tune my technique and strive for improvements over the summer and during my senior year. I will make every effort to achieve my goal of successfully competing in the NCAA while continuing to strive for academic excellence.
Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you!
David DiPietro
