Jared Marshall '15 Recruiting Profile

         I am Jared Marshall an eighteen year old hurdler from Gloucester Massachusetts. I have been running track for seven years now and have been in love with the sport ever since I started. On the track I am a dedicated worker I always give it a hundred percent and never quit. I am a leader, I the captain of the indoor and outdoor teams this year and am looking to help the team win another NEC small championship and have two more undefeated seasons.

         Off the track I do my part to help out the community. For the past four years I have been going down to New Orleans to rebuild homes for those who lost them in hurricane Katrina. I am actively involved with the YMCA and volunteering around my town. During the summers I work at a summer camp for children where I teach them life lessons and this year I integrated track into the camp to raise awareness and excitement about track in the youth.

         I'm also the president of DECA and spend the time I am not running or volunteering with the group raising money for charities and for the community. My community is very important to me and it is a big part of who I am.
