Pierce DeBoer '20 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember, I've always loved running. I would spend the nights of my childhood playing tag games with my next-door neighbors, trying my best to escape from the older kids who were always faster than me. This wasn't my only motivation to move faster, however. My mom would show me her medals from time to time that she earned from running track when she was in high school and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I refused to do any sports throughout elementary school, as I was waiting for my chance to run competitively in middle school. Now that I have been running in track and field for seven years, I have developed a strong passion for this sport. I am thrilled by every competition I go to and eager to improve my skills during practice. I would love to share my enthusiasm for this amazing sport at the college level.
