A defining moment in my swimming career was the year that I missed State Championships by only a few seconds. I was absolutely devastated, but missing States helped me to refocus my swimming on improving my technique and putting in more effort at practice. The next year, I was able to make State Championships.
Now, I think it is very important to put in effort in everything you do whether it be at practice or in school. From my experience, I became a hard worker and I learned how to be passionate about swimming and about my grades. I also learned good time management skills and I gained enthusiasm for everything I approach in life.
My goal for college is to become a well rounded individual and to enjoy my college experience as much as possible.
