My biggest goal in life is to create a life story that many people can remember. So far my life, like all others, has had its twists and turns. A major twist and turn is my transition to a new school halfway into seventh grade. Track and field has made me feel like I found a home. This team is special to me since we have a lot of good sportsmanship and a strong bond with each other. With my great leadership skills I have learned to be successful. By trying my hardest to avoid a mistake. I feel mentally ready to take on big challenges ahead. Some parts of my life were dark but most are filled with light. Without good and bad moments dreams could be too far away. My downs have been going through the worst times of my coaches careers. My first coach was very ill which made her leave this world and take her last breath but she always kept fighting while in her sick bed in the hospital. My second coach was struggling with mental issues which led him to fall into a deep depression. We just have to be strong and as always go “onward”. After making the national team and becoming a 4 time captain of multiple teams throughout middle school and high school, I learned through my coaches who are Olympians to stay strong always which will lead me to bring light to a team and never give up so that I can be mentally strong and physically prepared for my big dreams and goals of becoming the best athlete I can be.
I am a very quiet person around others but that has never stopped me from being someone who has set a lot of goals for themselves but through me being part of student gov I triumphed my anxiety.A goal is going to the elite athletic level, after college and to never stop training. Another goal right now that I have and that I believe I am very capable of achieving, is to place multiple school records for the hammer event in track. As a Massachusetts athlete, the hammer throw is not legal in multiple states for young athletes like me. Even though I might not practice as much as others, I would never count someone out. Since my first indoor track season this past winter I became a stronger athlete and ranked very high in Mass for the weight throw at a competition in Rhode Island. I have also been nominated for the unsung hero award and gotten the weight throw record at my school. I show bravery of the highest quality by doing this event that not many people do.
In addition, I strive to become the best I can be outside of my athletic and academic life. I am a very bubbly person at my house and in my family. One thing that you can catch me doing in the comfort of my own home is making my whole family laugh. During my time at my house I love to experiment and bake with friends and family. Through these experiments it made me find my passion for getting into medicine and having challenges await. As someone who has a job working at a restaurant I learned how to take care of others. One time while I was working a customer was in trouble and my instant knowledge of medicine kicked in since this person could have died. I never learned what was wrong with this person but I stepped up to help them when they needed someone. I would also like to thank everyone who has helped me be me and God who gave me life. This is just the beginning of my life and I will not disappoint the rest of what is to come and as my grade would say “onward”.
