I've only been running distance for a few years now and I wouldn't want to do anything else. The feeling and thrill it gives is like no other. I'm the first distance runner in my family and I'm proud of how far I've come. January of 2019, I suffered a torn muscle and rushed back to training too quickly and developed a blood vessel tumor. I didn't find out what was causing all the pain until after the track season. I ran with a tumor for 5 months and I was strong through it all. This summer, I had it removed and missed my last year of cross country. I stayed active in the winter, working on my core, and I'm ready to come back stronger than ever. My goals are to compete at the next level and prove myself even more than I've ever imagined. I may not have the best times, but I've struggled a lot and I've rid myself of distractions and problems. I would be a good fit for any team because of how academically driven I am and how I always look out for my team. I put my grades before anything and I'm proud of how far I've come.
