I was introduced to the sport of track as a 12 year old. I played sports before like soccer, football for a year, and wrestling, but never thought that I would run, let alone go to college one day for a sport. I realized that naturally I was faster than other kids but I didn't know how fast I could be. My drive to be better started in 8th grade when I started to get big headed after a successful 7th grade season with personal bests being 23.45 in the 200 at the time and my 100 being 11.49. I got big headed and didn't work as hard and I had a rude awakening during my 8th grade season because I had gotten a little bigger and didn't do so great. I vowed never to let that happen again, I realized that it takes a lot to be the best and I want to be the best that I can be. I am not a person to set limits on myself and I believe that it takes hard work and dedication to get to the places that you want. Ever since that year I have improved dramatically every year of my high school seasons placing in the 200 every year since my freshman year at the state meet no worse than 3rd place and becoming a state champion my junior year.
I work hard every day to be the best and do my best in whatever I do. I fell in love with this sport and it chose me in a time of need when I felt I had not a lot to be hopeful in. This sport was therapeutic and made me realize that I want to go to college for this sport while working on academics too and not just times on the track. I was never the greatest student but I am not a bad one. I work hard in everything I do and have no troubles with homework or even quizzes but my biggest struggle is tests. I work very hard to improve on this and I want to be better in this catagory but I get very choked up and they make me nervous but I am trying my very best to get over that and try new ways to study as well as retaking these tests like the SAT and the ACT which I continue to do to improve my scores. My GPA or SAT aren't bad but it may discourage some people, but I am not one to give up on anything and if you give me a chance to do the best I can and take a chance on me I promise I will work harder than I already do in the classroom as well on the track but all I need is a chance. This sport isn't something I take lightly, I want to be the best in it and go to a good college and become a successful person on and off the track. I feel I am at the top level with many other kids and could compete anywhere. I am different from other kids because I have the motivation to not just be an average person, but an extraordinary one who will leave a legacy for people to remember! I love proving people wrong and when I get my mind on a goal no one can get me off of it. So to finish this off, I am unlike a lot of other kids in the sense of motivation and feel I could be a good fit for any college and will always work my hardest to be the best because that is just how I am as a person and I hope you will contact me so we can work together!
