I began running in 7th grade after being convinced by a friend to join the cross country team. I was mediocre compared to the people around me until I truly committed to the off season in the winter of my freshman year. After that my times dropped to a 10:36 in the 3200 in that spring of freshman year, and a 16:59 5k in the fall. I achieved All-State in cross country both my sophomore, junior, and seniors years. I fell in love with running and knew it was something I really wanted to pursue into college. My best season to date is my senior cross season where i ran 16:23 for 5k over a hilly course. I know i have much more potential and even had it this year. I have a lot of knowledge for the sport and follow it very closely. Academically, I have a 3.96 GPA and was enrolled in two AP classes junior year. I have taken 6 dual enrollment classes so have gotten a bit ahead on credits. I am a member of NHS and Student council as well. I am still unsure of what I want to study in college but am really interested in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. I am a very committed athlete that wants to pursue training and racing at the highest level. I will do whatever it takes to be great.
