My goal is to become a successful track and field star in college. I began running track in 7th grade in 2016 and it has stuck with me ever since as the sport of my choice. As a runner in high school, I am still trying to find out where I stand as an athlete. I was the only freshman boy at Northville High School in 2018 to go to the Regional meet and make Varsity. I'm always supportive of my team, my coaches and am willing to try new things to improve. I am a very outgoing, laid-back, yet funny person and someone who is always putting others first. I have done well in my academics, however, 9th grade was a rough year with family issues that saw my grades and GPA slip. But I am working on making sure that my grades and GPA goes up. People think I am somewhat of a wildcard since I am a Varsity sprinter and also run Cross Country. I am different from other athletes because I never let losing a race bring me down. I don't know what "quitting" or "throwing in the towel" means. Being adopted with my three siblings into a loving, forever family, 13 years ago, has given me a sense of hope and made me a stronger person. I keep fighting and striving to learn to do better. My times may not be crazy good yet, and I know that I am only running a 55 second 400 or a 24 second 200 or my 800 personal best is a 2:16. But that's going to change. I am dedicated to track more than anyone else I know. My PR's now may not seem so good to some coaches out there, but with the right coaching and practice, I can guarantee that you will not regret granting me a scholarship and becoming a part of your team. I am ready to start off my future track and field career without question. If there are a recruiters out there looking for a track and field athlete who has a positive attitude, is self-disciplined and dedicated; then I'm the athlete you are looking for and I am ready to get started! Thanks for your time and your consideration.
