I am a competitor. Sports has given me the outlet for my competitive nature, as well as having an Identical twin brother. We have played a lot of sports together since we were 5 years old, and we have pushed each other to do our absolute best every time we compete. Sports has taught me perseverance, humility, determination, leadership and sportsmanship to name a few. I want to take everything I have learned so far, to college, and take my love for sports to the next level. I am in the middle of my Senior year. Last fall, I decided to play tennis for the first time. I played doubles on Varsity, and together we became Conference champs, runner-up at Regionals, and went on to compete at the State Tournament. I would be open to playing Tennis in college if it’s the right fit. My Junior year I was recruited by my strength and conditioning Coach, (also the Track Coach) to try High Jump. I was quickly hooked on it because it has pushed me to better myself everyday. In less than a year of jumping, I finished 8th at the MITS State meet with a jump of 6ft 4in in February 2020. One of the videos on my profile shows me jumping for 6ft 6in, I just missed it, but now my sights are set on getting my next PR. This being my last season of track, I am not ready to be done jumping. I feel like I am just getting started and have not reached my full potential yet. My goal is to improve and compete at the College level and find out how far I can go. I feel that sets me apart from others because I have not plateaued yet.
Academics is very important to me as well. I have excelled in Math throughout my years in school. My major is somewhat undecided, but I know that it will involve Mathematics, Engineering or similar, so I would be interested in going to a college that has strong majors in Mathematics.
