I am an All Conference athlete, a supportive teammate and leader who wants to pursue a degree in Art and continue my track career. I was diagnosed with two learning disabilities in elementary school, and school was hard for me. But, about a year ago I discovered a talent for painting (follow on Instagram @tate.s_painting) and have since gained confidence, focused my studies, and my GPA is improving as a result. I was named honorary captain in Track beginning in my sophomore year, and despite an injury that had me out most of my junior year, I came back strong and set PRs as well as season 400 m relay split records. I am looking forward to doing the same my senior year!
