My ultimate goal for the last several years has been working toward becoming a successful collegiate athlete. I have always placed tremendous value on receiving a quality education, so earning a degree while developing my athletic potential has been a dream of mine. I have been a member of the National Honor Society for 2 years, my entire schedule has consisted of AP and honors classes. I currently have a 3.56 cumulative GPA (3.94 weighted), and I am in the top 20% of my class.
My goals as an athlete are big, but I know they are attainable if I am paired with the right college program and coaching staff. I approach every practice with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. I strive to train hard each day and come to any competition fully prepared to win.
My greatest strengths as an athlete are my perseverance and my mental toughness. I have always felt if you want something bad enough and put in the work, you can achieve it. Mental focus has helped in my achievements almost as much as my physical ability. Things may go wrong while competing, I know that because of my preparation I can handle most scenarios without getting rattled. I am a consistent competitor who works hard in the classroom, weight room, and on the track.
I feel I can become a valuable member of any college Track and Field team.
