I have had a love of athletics for my whole life. Playing sports, whether it be basketball or soccer, when I was growing up always felt at home. However when I discovered track it was a whole different experience. I immediately fell in love with the competitiveness and the nature of the sport. You have to push yourself to do excel and I always do this on and off the track. I also like to lead in everything I do. I believe that it is important to be able to be able to serve your teammates, push them to their limits, and bring up their spirits whenever they need it.
I didn't know how fast I really was until high school track where I started with a 59 400m and have gone down 4 seconds every season and I plan to continue dropping my time. I will run a sub-49 400m this season and I will have either a 1400+ SAT or 32+ ACT by the end of my junior year. After high school, I want to matriculate into a highly competitive university to learn more about economics and business, meet new and interesting people, and become a better person
