Personal Statement
I finished my first season of cross country last year, and I am excited for what running holds for me in the future. I have made new friends and great memories in only a season of running. I have never felt more at home in any sport I have ever partaken in. Now this year I am the captain of my team, and I hope to create a new culture of hard work and family in the program. Unfortunately, I didn't take school seriously until my junior year because college was never a plan of mine. However, running has helped me see opportunity for change. Now I want to continue to grow as a student, as a runner, and as a person.
