I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. I am exploring an engineering major that will help set me up for a good career after college. Track became a great interest of mine when I was on the 8th grade track team. I was not the fastest kid out there so I was not sure were I was going to have an impact for the team. Then I noticed that I excelled at triple jump and even breaking the record for the middle school triple jump. However freshman year I broke my ankle and was out most of the track season which made me a little discouraged about track. My sophomore year was when I really began to take off making it to sectionals on only my second full year of participating in the event. I have plenty of work I can still do to accomplish greater things but I am going to keep getting better. I will never quit and will keep working harder and harder to achieve my personal goals of becoming a state champion in the triple jump. I plan on carrying this motive to a great college and keep rising
