One thing I like to pride myself in is my determination. When I start a workout or race, I don't like to give up or slow down. I try as hard as I can to push through until I finish, despite how much pain I may be in. Additionally, athletics won't stop me from excelling in the classroom as well. I always do my best to succeed academically and athletically, which is why I've earned the Scholar-Athlete Award and the Nevada All-State Academic Team Award ever since Freshman year. In addition to all of this, I feel I perform the best when I'm with my team. Running with my teammates is one of my favorite things to do, and I'd say it pushes me much harder than when I run by myself. Joining a college track team would be a great thing for me because it would not only allow me to continue my track career at a college level, but it would hone my running skills and make me more experienced and prepared for the future in which I plan on competing as an adult, as well as running more 5ks, half-marathons, and full marathons.
