I am a senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Wooster High School in Reno Nevada, working towards my IB diploma. I have participated in Basketball, Football and Track at the varsity level. I am familiar with leadership roles being the captain on my basketball team, and quarterback for my football team. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I am passionate about astrophysics and looking to study aerospace engineering.
My high school GPA does not reflect my abilities as a student. Rather, they reflect a time period plagued by self-doubt and a lack of aspirations. I believe that the progress that I have made since my freshman year, culminating in have a 4.0 semester as a junior, should be more heavily considered than my overall GPA. I have worked extremely hard as an athlete and student, and I don’t want my early high school years to overshadow this progress.
I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
