My goal is to be best, but to be the best I have to beat the best. In order to do that I have to train like the best. I'm persistent on becoming both a better thrower and a better person. Most of my week consists of working out, throwing, and volunteering. I also like to believe that I'm someone who is comfortable being uncomfortable because that is how you grow and become better. I'm someone who is extremely hard working and I believe that my coaches would say that I never give up. In February of 2020, I had gotten a grade 2 sprained ankle during practice only three days before our sectional meet and had set me back on my goal. I hadn't given up hope and I was doing everything I could to recover as quickly as possible. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic started and set me back even further from my goal, but this pandemic didn't stop me from working hard. These setbacks only just given me more motivation and work to do in order to reach my goal. I am constantly working to be the best and no matter what obstacles I face, I can make it through.
Academically, I spend most of my free time studying and working on school because I believe doing well academically comes before doing well throwing. The career I would like to pursue is becoming a teacher and in order to do this, I must do well in school if I want to be able to teach others. I wanted to become a teacher because I enjoy helping others and I find a lot of enjoyment when it comes to being a tutor to others. I believe that my ability to pay attention and listen to directions from teachers correlates to throwing because I'm able to also pay attention and follow any directions my coach gives me.
