My name is Gregory McGuire and I am 5'10 145. As a freshman I played football in the Fall and ran indoor and outdoor track in the Winter and Spring. Playing varsity football my freshman year really helped me develop a mental and physical toughness for longer seasons. Sophomore year I was awarded captain of my track team. The same year I won sectionals indoor and outdoor Junior year I switched from football to soccer. My indoor season of Junior year I broke our indoor 800m record and won sectionals. The following week I came up short of my season goal of becoming a state champion by finishing second. I believe I've come to know myself much better through all of these sports and events. I'm very hard working and willing to do anything that helps the team win. In college I would like to not only be competitive on the track but extremely competitive in the classroom as well.
