Hey coaches, my name is Mateo Mosquera. I live in New Jersey. I am 18 years old in my senior year of high school. As a kid, I have always been very athletic, competitive and always loved running. My goals for college are to succeed in sports and of course in my academics. Academically I want to achieve a business degree. Maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher throughout high school and college. On the track field, my goal is to inspire my teammates and support them in their careers. The goal for me on the field is to be remembered as the kid who loved running and left everything on the track. I absolutely love the adrenaline rush right before a race, there is no other feeling that can compare. What makes me stand out from the rest of the recruits I guess is that I was diagnosed with dyslexia. It is something that I will always have with me for my entire life and I continue to overcome my challenge but it has never stopped me from getting a good grade on a test, quiz, or getting to the finish line first. I am currently a straight-A student. Dyslexia has taught me that learning is not the same for everyone, but everyone has what it takes to succeed in life regardless of their differences.

Thank you coaches for reading a little bit of me!
