To Whom it May Concern:
I am very pleased to recommend Remson Jarrell to your university. As his track and cross country coach for the past six years I have watched him grow into a mature young man ready to succeed in his collegiate career.
Remson is an enthusiastic and dedicated student athlete. As a young middle school student he began to set goals for himself and strives to be better each and every day. He is consistently one of the hardest working athletes on the team and is constantly looking for ways to improve. Remson is eager to learn and truly enjoys the work that goes into his success.
Over the past two summers Remson has volunteered at our school’s Track and Field Summer Camp. He has grown into the role of a counselor and the campers enjoy their time with Remson more than most activities. This past summer he struck up a relationship with a camper that just moved to the country and has mentored him throughout the school year and helped him train and adjust to life in the U.S.
Remson Jarrell is an outstanding young man with a strong moral compass. He will be a great addition to your university and athletic teams. I wholeheartedly recommend him to your institution.
Sincerely,
Robert Gilmartin

To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Remson Jarrell as an applicant of your institution. I had the pleasure of teaching Remson in Spanish 1 and have been Remson’s coach for three years. Remson is an impressive student athlete who can be defined by his inquisitive nature, his dedication, and his determination. Remson demonstrates these qualities consistently throughout his academic and athletic pursuits, and he will be a valuable asset to your institution.
Since meeting Remson in Spanish 1 through virtual instruction, I have seen tremendous growth in his courage and self-advocacy. As a language learner, Remson has overcome the fear of taking linguistic risk and has developed the ability to view challenges as opportunities. His desire to learn and explore new materials will serve him well as he seeks higher education and pursues a career as a global citizen in his post-academia future.
Remson’s determination and dedication are two of his greatest qualities and will serve him well in academia as well as in athletics. Not only does he strive to maintain a high standard of academic achievement, but he ensures that his involvement in extracurricular activities and on teams will leave lasting impacts on those around him. Remson began his athletic career on the Cross Country team and immediately took the county by storm. From the beginning, Remson has dominated the running field and his commitment to the sport and his training has molded him into being a leader on the team. As a leader, Remson encourages his teammates to achieve their goals through supporting them during their races and modeling resilience. Remson is always available for his teammates to support with training, provide pre-race encouragement, and celebrate post-race success.
Overall, I have no reservations asserting that Remson Jarrell will be successful in his educational and athletic career, as well as his post-collegiate future. He is an inspiring person and is well deserving of the opportunity to attend your institution. His dedication, determination and work ethic are admirable. It is with the utmost pleasure that I recommend Remson for your institution.
Sincerely,
Sierra Mitchell

Dear Future Coach!
My name is Remson and I appreciate you taking the time to look at my profile. I am a determined student-athlete who strives to be better on and off the track. Academically, I want to major in accounting and minor in finance or law. I am excited to see where life takes me and open to all opportunities. I know for sure that I will run and study to the best of my abilities. Last year I had a 4.2 GPA as a sophomore with all CP classes. This year I stepped up my game and I am currently taking three AP classes and one honors class as a junior. My GPA this year has been a 4.4.
I first started running at the age of 11 and started taking running seriously my freshman year. My main events are the 1600m, 3200m, and the 5k. In the 1600m I have been able to attain a 4:33 so far this season and a 9:55 in the 3200m. In the 5k I was able to hit a 16:28 on the track and a 17:18 for XC last fall. On and off the track I am a very positive person who always tries to see the best of situations in the toughest of times. This trait has allowed me to get through training blocks and continue to improve as an athlete. When I am not running or doing school work I enjoy keeping myself busy by volunteering as a coach to younger kids, track-camp counseling, playing sports(Skimboarding, Basketball, and Tennis), and seeing friends. Running has had a very positive effect on my life. It is something I look forward to every single day and introduced me to a very positive community.
I appreciate you taking time to read about me and look forward to hearing from you!
