I have been an athlete since four years of age playing in multiple sports such as soccer, wrestling, basketball and track. The love for running started when I was on my first track team in 6th grade. By 8th grade I had broken the school record for the 800 meter which inspired me to work harder. This past spring I was happy to have had two personal bests on my 1600 meter timed at 4:48.07 and 800 meter timed at 2:08.54.
As I am entering into my Junior year, I realize the importance of training even harder in order to become mentally and physically stronger. Track and field has certainly taught me to lead by example and strive to meet each task that is given to me. Having an opportunity to be coached and compete at a collegiate level would be a dream come true for me.
My academics are just as important as my athletics. I have taken honors classes throughout high school and currently taking an Advanced Placement English Language/Composition class. I am looking for a college that has an outstanding academic reputation. My intended major would be in Criminal Justice in hopes to one day having a vital role in Homeland Security. Outside of school, I am very active in my Greek Orthodox Church which has given me the opportunity to serve my community. With that being said, I know that with my precision and determination that I have demonstrated since a very young age coupled with my foundation of culture and family, my long term goals will be accomplished.
