I started track as a 10 year old part of the jr. Highlander track club interested in trying a new sport that I was told I would be good at. I started doing every event I could on and off the track. Through my time doing that I found that I was a better jumper than anything else. I stuck with high jump and when I got to the age of 14 I started triple jump too. I practiced these the most and it showed as I would pr at almost every meet. I got to the point where I was qualifying for bigger meets and placing highly in them. As a 13-14 year old i placed 2nd in the state in high jump and 1st in the state in triple jump and I would go on to get 1st in the region too with a jump of 35 feet. I went to AAU nationals in humble Texas and placed 11th in triple jump. After that I started my high school in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.
