I joined Track and Field for the Winter Season of my sophomore year, although I wasn't the best on the team, I was committed to improving. It started off slow, but my winter Junior season, only a year later, I was able to add about 10ft to my shotput in a month. I had always been interested in sports, playing little league baseball when I was younger, I figured I should put my height to use. But when I started to do track, I had found what I enjoyed. Being able to do something I love and go to college for it would be all I could ask for.
In the classroom, my parents always pushed me to do my best, and I believe that I have, although it can be stressful, the end product is worth it and I think that my effort will help me in the future with track and school.
