Andrew Himes '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Andrew Himes. I am in the class of 2026 at Bloomfield, New Mexico High school. I am a hurdler and jumper, I triple jump (44ft 7in) 2-time state champion, long jump (21ft 3in) 2-time state placer, 110 hurdles (14.80) 2-time top 3 state placer, and 300 hurdles (39.50) 2-time top 3 state placer. My goals are to get to the next level. I want to be able to compete at the highest level in college and be the best at what I do and I am willing to work as hard as I can to reach those goals. Some things that set me apart from others are, I feel that I can handle pressure and I feel that I am very coachable. I am dedicated to my studies and during my sophomore year I maintained above a 4.1 GPA. As much as track is important to me the classroom is just as important to me, I am willing to work just as hard on the track as I am in the classroom.
