Since my first middle-school track meet, after crossing the finish line with nobody in front of me, I knew that track was something that I wanted to pursue as long as possible. I have a genuine passion and interest in the sport of track and field, and I strive to improve myself every time I touch the track. After seeing my brother continue his track and field career at Eastern Michigan University, I wanted so badly to follow in his footsteps and sprint in college.
I believe that my primary strength is my top-end speed. I am a very coach-able and observant individual who is intrigued by the mechanics and technical aspects of running. With the aid of experienced coaches, I believe that my skill ceiling will be raised much higher, as I currently lack such coaching and facilities to properly train. My speed out of the blocks is surely something I could improve upon, and what I would consider my biggest weakness. However, I am fully devoted towards putting in the work to better my times and become a more complete sprinter. My commitment to the sport is unwavering, and I look to be the best version of myself possible.
Academically, I perform well and maintain a high GPA. I am currently taking two AP courses, and previously completed another. Along with AP courses, I have also completed a multitude of honors courses. I have made Honor Roll for every but one quarter of high school. Similarly to on the track, I like to challenge myself in the classroom.
